Software development, engineering design, and manufacturing - I use my knowledge in each field to create digital and physical products that best suit user needs. Leveraging disruptive technologies like additive manufacturing (3D Printing), extended reality (VR, AR, MR), and machine learning (AI, ML) is my specialty. I am passionate about using these technologies to solve complex problems that positively impact how people work, learn, and innovate.
Research is key to my process because innovation is data-driven and comes from knowing how different fields and technologies work together to solve problems. That is why right now I am completing my Ph.D. at The Pennsylvania State University, investigating how immersive virtual reality can help designers better work with additive manufacturing.
I am at my best when I must quickly learn new things, critically analyze a situation, and strategically approach a problem to meet my needs. This mindset enables me to quickly adapt to different problems and drives me to excel in my work. Luckily, I have discovered that this mindset also helps me enjoy new experiences and learn new skills in my free time.
When I am not focusing on my work, I often dive into other technologies and projects that pique my interest. I recently went through a brain MRI, and I could not be more excited to reconstruct my brain and then 3D print it! I do not often work on biomedical projects, so it felt great to flex my mind😂 with a new learning opportunity. When I take a step away from technology, you can find me practicing my 日本語 (Japanese) , hiking, skiing or kayaking, and playing football or basketball in my free time!
